LS SWAP!
Out with the old, in with the new

A 1987 Porsche 928 S4 came in with a tired old engine that hadn't run in years due to a timing belt failure that caused the valves to get bent when they ran into the pistons. [Side note: make sure you change your timing belt at the specified interval.] The customer brought this project to us with one goal in mind: to make the car reliable and easy to get parts for. So, naturally he opted to swap out the Porsche engine out with a 500hp LS3 from GM Performance. Sorry Porsche purists.

Cruising Through Life

This 1972 Toyota Landcruiser came in with a lot of rust damage from years spent outdoors on the farm. After sandblasting, the holes and areas of previous repair were easy to see. The transmission tunnel looked like someone had peeled it open like a tin can. After some metal work and body work, we primed the exterior with rust-color primer (customer's request), shot the inside with Raptor liner, and it went back to farm to live out rest of its life with the herd.

Oh heavens, it's a '37

This 1937 Chevy came to the shop with factory manual drum brakes front and rear, an 87-year-old steering system, and a bent wheel. We installed a Mustang II suspension system with rack & pinion steering, disc brakes, a power brake booster, and gave it a lowered stance (and one new wheel).

1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator

Only 2,268 Mercury Cougar Eliminators were produced in 1970. This rare classic came in with a tired 351 Cleveland. We had the engine machined, installed bigger pistons, and a more aggressive cam and gave this car the power it needed to keep up with the modern muscle cars. We prepped and painted the engine compartment and engine, and installed reproduction decals to give it the finishing touch.

This car also got complete new suspension and steering components, fresh brakes, and factory-style reproduction wheels with some old-school BFG Radials to give it that classic muscle car look.

1999 F-350 7.3L

This truck was mostly stock when I bought it to haul a horse trailer. I decided the shop needed a mascot, so I threw out the bumpers, grille, headlights, taillights, running boards, and canopy; installed new bumpers, a winch, new grille and lighting, lifted it 6 inches, added some new wheels and tires, installed fender flares and sent it off to get wrapped. More to come...
